Smooth driving is only possible with good, properly inflated tires. Checking the tire pressure at the gas station is a small step in this direction. More important, however, is monitoring the tires while driving. The TireMoni tire monitor (pronounced "tair" and "Moni" for monitor) monitors the tires while driving using signals from sensors attached to the tire valves. This system can be retrofitted quickly and cost-effectively. So there's no reason to compromise on tire safety, fuel efficiency, and CO2 reduction. Not only car owners, but also transport companies, whose vehicles sometimes cover over a thousand kilometers a day, benefit directly from TireMoni technology.

\u201eThe transport industry is under enormous pressure to achieve Europe\u2019s ambitious climate targets. Despite previous efforts and a commitment to fuel efficiency, we have found that many transport companies are not yet adequately prepared for the impact of potential CO2 regulations,\u201c said Michel Rzonzef, Vice President Commercial Vehicle Tires at Goodyear Dunlop Europe. \u201eOur survey confirms that the vast majority of fleets are already implementing numerous measures to improve fuel efficiency. For this reason, they find it difficult to say what else they could do to comply with stricter limits. Optimizing rolling resistance is only achieved with properly inflated tires; a flat tire, no matter how technically sound, generates high rolling resistance and therefore high fuel consumption.
