Electricity from centralized providers, water, gas, oil from the big companies \u2013 and then ideally, we&#039;re supposed to consume a lot of energy so the centralized systems can deliver a lot. It doesn&#039;t have to be this way. We have many ways to regulate our energy consumption to our advantage. Electronic tire pressure monitoring is one such option. Every year, millions of liters of fuel are simply wasted on warm tires nationwide because the air pressure in these tires is too low. This increases rolling resistance, and the tires overheat. Not to mention the many tires that wear out far too quickly, becoming damaged by excessive flexing because they&#039;re driven almost flat. We can do little directly at the engine to reduce fuel consumption, whether it&#039;s a combustion engine car or an electric vehicle. But we have a good opportunity with the tires. By optimizing rolling resistance with the correct tire pressure, we can control our energy consumption and act in our own favor.
