Parece estar ganando terreno entre aquellos preocupados por la seguridad y el ahorro de dinero. Por ello, la Asociaci\u00f3n Alemana de Inspecci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica (GT\u00dc) recomienda revisar peri\u00f3dicamente la presi\u00f3n de los neum\u00e1ticos, ya que la presi\u00f3n correcta ahorra combustible y garantiza la seguridad al conducir.<\/p>\n<p>Los neum\u00e1ticos contribuyen hasta en un 25 % al consumo de combustible de un veh\u00edculo. Esto se debe principalmente a la resistencia a la rodadura, que, ante el constante aumento del precio del combustible, ofrece un importante potencial de ahorro. Un neum\u00e1tico, bajo el peso del veh\u00edculo, se comprime aproximadamente entre un 10 y un 15 % en la zona de contacto, adapt\u00e1ndose a la superficie de la carretera. Cambia su forma redonda y se aplana. El aumento de la resistencia resultante consume energ\u00eda de propulsi\u00f3n, que se convierte en calor.
