Tire pressure monitoring while driving, sensors for retrofitting
The value of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) is increasing. More and more road users are using TPMS for safety. Therefore, the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) tested several systems a few months ago. "The TireMoni system performed excellently, receiving 5 stars. The operating instructions, functions, settings, and accuracy were rated as "very good."

After the EU's requirement for tire pressure monitoring systems for new cars caused a stir in November 2014, many motorists realized that tire pressure must be checked while driving. While the correct pressure at a gas station's pressure pump can be reassuring, it doesn't provide enough driver information for the journey. If you're driving fast in a straight line, even an under-inflated tire can appear stable due to centrifugal forces. But when cornering or braking, the worst that can happen is that tires need sensors that send pressure and temperature signals while driving. They need a monitor that warns if pressure drops or the car overheats. TireMoni offers exactly this in many different versions, with the advantage that the retrofit sensors can be easily reused when changing tires. This eliminates the need to buy a new set of sensors for a winter/summer tire change. TireMoni sensors can simply be screwed onto the metal valves of the new wheels. And what's more, the batteries in TireMoni sensors can be changed by the driver themselves. Typically, when the battery is worn out, the sensors and valves are thrown away and replaced with new ones. This is not only expensive for customers, but also harmful to the environment. Switzerland is thinking about TireMoni. Do it too: http://www.TireMoni.ch
