Electronic tire pressure monitoring (TPMS) from TireMoni saves fuel, tires, and accident costs. That's why it's worth retrofitting a TireMoni system.
Batteries can be replaced by yourself:
The TPMS sensors of the TireMoni electronic tire pressure monitoring system are attached to the outside of vehicle valves. This has the great advantage that the sensors can be easily screwed from summer to winter tires and vice versa. Short metal valves are important; they increase the functional reliability of the TPMS sensors. Metal valves are durable. The rubber valves are often simply pinched off during tire installation. Metal valves last for several years without any problem. When the batteries of the TireMoni tire pressure sensors are running low, the charge level is displayed. When inserting new batteries, ensure the polarity is correct. The system was designed for ease of use. The display unit does not need to be turned off; in fact, it is recommended that it be left turned on at all times. The device automatically goes into sleep mode when not in use to save battery power.
Sleep mode:
To optimize battery capacity, the system (display and sensors) features intelligent energy management. The display and sensors automatically go into sleep mode if no movement is detected for more than 10 minutes. In this mode, the display switches off to save power. Movement (e.g., opening a door or pressing a button) immediately wakes up the display. However, the measured values are only updated while driving.
Maximum attention while driving:
A change in tire pressure or temperature can occur at any time, and it is therefore good to know the tire pressure at all times while driving. If the pressure of a tire falls below the lower warning threshold set on the TireMoni monitor, the display will beep ten times and the corresponding tire symbol will display 'LoP' (Low Pressure) alternating with the pressure value. If the pressure continues to fall, the display will warn you whenever the pressure drops by a further 0.1 bar. The warnings will stop as soon as the pressure is above the set warning threshold again (e.g., due to refilling). Caution: If a warning is issued, the situation should first be assessed to ensure safe stopping; only then should the tire be checked as quickly as possible.
