Blame is useless. We've all heard that in our professional development courses by now. But how could we live happily without blaming others? It's so much easier to blame my neighbor for local problems than to take responsibility ourselves. Even though, in moments of weakness, I feel that acting independently would be more honest and effective. So I complain about politicians and their clueless representatives instead of using my own resources, for example, to reduce my car's fuel consumption. I can do so much: remove excess weight from the trunk, dismantle roof racks, drive more smoothly, and, most importantly, maintain the correct tire pressure. But how slowly am I implementing these beneficial behaviors? As if I had all the time in the world—and yet I know I don't.
Therefore, our appeal: Do something good for your vehicle and your driving style. Drive with the correct tire pressure, use electronic warnings if the tire is losing air, and optimize your driving behavior, also with regard to safety.
Electronic tire pressure monitoring systems are available for retrofitting!
TireMoni recommends short metal valves, as does the ADAC.
