Those who need to know

Now we're discovering the environment, and we appreciate that it pays for so many things. Less appealing is the fact that it probably won't be doing so in the future. So, we'll have to – unfortunately – pay for things ourselves again, and that's precisely where the idea of saving comes in. Save where you're being asked to pay – for example, save on tires and protect the environment with a TireMoni tire pressure monitoring system.

Read for yourself what the tire manufacturer Bridgestone (www.bridgestone.at) writes – and they haven't just started their business yesterday:
„"The environment is paying a high price for the additional emissions."
Tire pressure has a significant impact on tire rolling resistance, which in turn is a major factor in determining fuel consumption. Depending on road conditions and driving style, rolling resistance accounts for 18 to 26 tons of a vehicle's total rolling resistance. Since low tire pressure increases rolling resistance, it directly affects the vehicle's fuel efficiency and emissions.

Based on 2006 data, Bridgestone's European Technical Center estimates that 40% of vehicles with low tire pressure will experience increased fuel consumption of 2.8 liters per 100 km, wasting 8.1 billion liters of fuel at a cost of €9.5 billion. Our environment ultimately pays the price for this unnecessary fuel consumption, resulting in an additional 18.4 million tons of CO₂ emissions.2 are released into the atmosphere annually. This corresponds to an additional 93.2 kg of CO2 per year or 6.9 g/km for every vehicle on Europe's roads!“

Upgrade your vehicle Even small cars need tires with the correct tire pressure, not just Dad's premium vehicle that already has everything installed "ex works".
