Truck tire safety with TireMoni TPMS

Checking truck tire pressure is worthwhile.

http://www.pr-gateway.de/pressearchiv: February 6, 2012 The subsidy program for freight forwarding companies is still available, allowing them to retrofit electronic tire pressure monitoring systems at a low cost. TireMoni shows how it's done.
Correct tire pressure is beneficial in four ways. Incorrect tire pressure costs money and can also be dangerous. Too little air in the tire increases wear and tear, and in extreme cases, can even lead to total tire failure. Excessive tire pressure and excessive load also reduce mileage. Too much or too little air increases wear by approximately 201T, meaning you only get 801T of the potential mileage.

Equally significant is the impact on fuel consumption. Studies by Shell, VDA, Wabco, and others consistently report an increase in fuel consumption of 2.51 TDI (total per 100 km) for a reduction in tire pressure of 201 TDI (total per 100 km). This figure increases to 81 TDI (total per 100 km) at lower pressures. The third aspect is maintenance costs: Thorough tire maintenance takes time – approximately 60–90 seconds per tire.
At least every week. With labor costs of 15-20 euros per hour.
This results in annual costs of approximately 750 euros per vehicle.
Ultimately, poorly maintained tires experience more frequent failures than those that are regularly serviced or monitored. These tire failures can be very costly when they occur. Costs of €1,500 per incident are typical; and in many cases, this is compounded by vehicle downtime and penalties for missed delivery deadlines.

A tire pressure monitoring system positively influences all four aspects: Tire pressure is constantly monitored and directly incorporated into cost accounting via telematics; this allows another important key figure to be used for calculation and business management.
The result: Increased competitiveness in a shrinking market and a significantly improved business result without major effort.

Typical amortization periods are 3–9 months. The acquisition costs of TireMoni Truck TPMS are eligible for funding under the De Minimis program as supplementary safety equipment; therefore
You can significantly reduce the amortization periods again.
